Upon the whole, Mr . P.Parker was evidently an amiable, family-man,fond of Wife, Childn -Children, Brothers & Sisters —& generally kind-hearted; – Liberal, gentle::manlike, easy to please; –
of a sanguineturn of mind; with more Imaginationthan Judgement. And
Mrs . P.Parker was as evidently a gentle, amiable, sweet tempered Woman, the properest wife in the Worldfor a Man of
strong Understanding, but not of capacity
to supply the cooler re::flection which her

needed, & so entirely waiting to be guided on every
occasion, thatwhether he were risking his Fortuneor spraining his Ancle, she remained was1
equallyuseleſs. – Sanditon was a
second wife& 4 Children to him – hardly less Dear –& certainly more engroſsing.
