Whatever might be the cause, she preserved the same ap--pearance of knowledge, & contempt of what was generally esteemed pleasure, during thewhole of her Life, for she declared herselfdispleased with being appointed Queen, andwhile conducting to the Scaffold, she wrotea Sentence in latin & another in Greekon seeing the dead Body of her Husbandaccidentally paſsing that way.
